About Us

Welcome to Wattle Tree Country Retreat: Your Sanctuary for Respite and Adventure

At Wattle Tree Country Retreat, we believe in creating a safe, engaging, and adventurous respite experience for individuals with disabilities, mental health issues, or acquired brain injuries. Our mission is to offer a unique retreat that not only provides a break from everyday life but also enriches the lives of our guests through a variety of activities and personalized care.

Our Story

Wattle Tree Country Retreat was founded out of a deep understanding of the needs of individuals requiring respite. Chelsea Thompson, our founder, has spent over two decades in the disability and mental health sectors, working as a support worker, case manager, and support coordinator. Through her extensive experience, Chelsea recognized the need for a special kind of respite service, one that is full of engagement, participation, action, and adventure. This vision led to the creation of Wattle Tree Country Retreat—a place where guests can feel safe, secure, and thoroughly supported while away from home.
